Laura Flynn has a Master of Arts in Elementary Education and over 25 years teaching experience working with elementary, middle school, and college students. She also instructs adult educators. She has authored the book Teaching Writing With Rubrics: Practical Strategies and Lesson Plans for Grades 2-8; Corwin Press, 2004. She is a recipient of the Who's Who Among America's Teachers. Laura Flynn was a Lead Instructional Coach for Albuquerque Public Schools. Her experience includes evaluating professional dossiers submitted from teachers seeking advancement in licensure levels.She has presented at several International Reading Association's educational conferences at the city, state, and regional levels regarding how to teach writing with rubrics. She has taught new and experienced teachers at various elementary schools in APS regarding key components of Classroom Management. She currently teaches part time at CNM in the education department and teaches a variety of educational courses. Recently she has been enjoying interior design.
